Rollerball pen Pen of the Year 2023 Limited Edition

The Pen of the Year 2023 is inspired by Ancient Egypt, a civilization with a rich 3,000-year history, filled with deities, stories, and achievements. It invites you on a journey to the land of the pharaohs, the pyramids and the papyrus - some 4,000 years before the turn of time. This "Ancient Egypt" edition is exclusive and limited to 375 fountain pens and 125 rollerballs. The matte metal barrel, coated with a durable diamond-like carbon finish, features engraved hieroglyphs of twelve Ancient Egyptian deities and stylised lotus blossoms symbolising the Resurrection. The pen's grip boasts metal rings with 24-carat gold plating and high-gloss blue lacquer rings, reminiscent of Tutankhamun's death mask. The 18-carat gold nib ensures a unique writing experience. The end cap features a metal plate with 24-carat gold plating, showcasing the engraved Eye of Horus, an ancient Egyptian protective symbol. The cap design is inspired by the headdress of Nefertiti, a significant ruler of ancient Egypt. An inlaid lapis lazuli with an engraved scarab, symbolising the sun as a lucky charm, adorns the end piece of the cap.
